About us
A pain-free, active life – this is what everyone wants. Bauerfeind AG, a manufacturer of medical aids, such as supports, orthoses, compression stockings and foot orthoses, makes a major contribution towards this with its numerous innovations.
The family business, founded in 1929 in Zeulenroda (Thuringia, Germany) is one of the market leaders in its industry. Bauerfeind employs a staff of around 2,000 worldwide and is represented by subsidiaries in more than 20 countries. The products, however, all bear the respected “Made in Germany” label and some of the production steps involve authentic handcrafting.
Bauerfeind works closely with people to develop its products. For research and development activities specialists are brought in, be it scientists, physicians, medical retailers or orthotists. Patients’ experiences of and the knowledge gained from providing products to athletes are, however, also incorporated on an ongoing basis into the development and optimization of products.

GenuTrain® OA
GenuTrain OA relieves the painful area on the inside or outside of the knee in cases of osteoarthritis, injury, or instability. Thanks to its light weight, breathable 3D knitted mesh, and pressure-free bending zone in the hollow of the knee, it provides an extremely comfortable fit. The many advantages of the orthosis make it a pleasant companion, even over long periods of time.
SecuTec® Genu Flex
After ligament injuries, SecuTec Genu Flex reliably stabilizes the knee. The orthosis relieves the ligaments, protects you from harmful movement and assists the healing process. The SecuTec Genu Flex is an orthosis for the knee joint with semi-flexible frame design. Moveable plastic links on the thigh and lower leg make this orthosis fit smoothly.
LumboTrain®
Back pain is a widespread ailment in today’s society. Activity can help remedy this: LumboTrain activates your torso muscles and alleviates low back pain. It gives you a more stable feeling and straightens the lumbar spine. A special massage pad with 26 nubs releases tension during movement in a targeted manner and reduces pain with a pleasant intermittent compression massage.
CoxaTrain®
CoxaTrain guides and stabilizes the hip joint. A gentle massage of the muscles alleviates pain; gait will improve. Finger pockets and loops make it easier to put on and take off the product. The orthosis has a lightweight and flat design that’s invisible under clothing. CoxaTrain makes physical activity easier, thus equally boosting treatment and self-healing powers.
Spinova® Osteo
Spinova Osteo straightens the upper body with a long aluminum splint that follows the contour of the spine. At the same time, it gives the body impulses that subconsciously remind it to straighten on its own. This also reduces the risk of falls. Thanks to its lightweight design, Spinova Osteo can be worn inconspicuously under clothing.
